DICE - End of Season 3 message from the author

No, it's not a new chapter, but we always said we try to bring everything DICE-related that we can scanlate, didn't we?

End of Season Message

There's another reason I wanted to scanlate this, which is to recruit a translator for an extra, as announced in the end of this release. There's another extra, after chapter 179, which we would very much like to do because in it the author describes his techniques for drawing this series. It might help our redrawers and it's a very interesting look into one of the most beautiful webtoons (the most, in my opinion) there is. However, neither Jin nor likcoras are well-versed in digital graphic arts terminology in Korean or English, so they can't help this time. We need someone who likes tinkering with pictures in both languages :P

The original is here (the author might enjoy one more day in a resort in the beach if you click it) and the latest official English release by LINE is here.

DICE, chapter 200 (reader)

And with this, Dicescans is on a break, too!

DICE 200

Here is the original (the author's holiday fund gets fatter if you visit it) and here is the latest official English release by LINE.

Again, my heart was warmed by you heartless leeches of society. Within 24 hours of putting out my plea for help, we had two volunteers to help redrawing, and one of them, Joseph (whom you may know from our second project, Flying in the darkness), worked very hard and did most of the redraws, including the monstrous ones in pages 94-97. We also had contributions by Veta and Jun, and the chapter was translated by our dear friend likcoras.

I say on a break, but there were two extras that we might do if we have time. One was after chapter 179, and it appears to be mostly the author talking about his technique (which may even be of interest to our redrawers!) The other is the author's announcement of the end of season three. However, don't hold your breath, okay?

We'll be on the lookout for when the series resumes, so see you then!

Last chapter of the season typeset, but… help needed redrawing

Just so you know, chapter 200, the final one of the third season, is completely typeset.

However, it needs redrawing. Our resident redrawers are all busy in real life, and so are the back-ups. This chapter has ten pages in need of attention, most at the (high) difficulty level that is typical for this series, and one of them very difficult.

If you think you can help, please contact me (Splicer). My email address can be found by clicking on "Contact" in the tab at the top of the page.

If more than one person applies, I'll distribute the redraws among them so as to lighten the individual workload and get to the release more quickly.

(But please, take a good, long look at the art of this series before getting in touch, and only do so if you feel confident that you're up to the task. You know how hard DICE is. You need to master patterns, gradients, line art, filters and more to do it. As a one-series group with a very small team, we don't have means to train you, and we don't have a redrawing test. If you volunteer but your skills aren't quite good enough, you will waste time and effort and it pains me to discard work done voluntarily and in good will. Redraws found wanting won't be used. Being honest to oneself about one's own skills is the first step to avoiding wasted work in scanlation.)
