The best glimpse so far, but by no means the first. We had seen his silhouette well enough to know he is a child since at least the beginning of the Long Day Arc. We saw him crouched over the chessboard in the transition from the first to the second season, and even better glimpses when he was trying to lure Eunju into becoming a Dicer during the Icarus Arc.
I think his identity as the boy in the prologue, which hadn't been in question in my mind for quite a while before this chapter, is really in no dispute anymore. Now the question is how the boy became a godlike entity and what he is trying to accomplish, if anything.
wow! what a long chapter. So Dongtae isn´t a stupid dude anymore... and Splicer, he said the exact words you did when you answered one of the questions in the last one. I thought the same XD. Thanks for this!! one question: The school is on other dimension or what?
Okay, mings, I'll copy and paste my discussion of the matter at Mangahelpers yesterday. Here it is:
I have given the matter some thought, and ultimately I think Dongtae made the right call. Here are my reasons:
a. If Dongtae attacked Hood, the moment he landed the blow, Hood would be released from Time Pause. Dongtae doesn't know how strong Hood is, and especially how much he increased his Endurance with Dice. If he is a Tank Character like Daewoong, Dongtae's blow might be wholly ineffective and the next thing will be a freed Hood in a position to Attack.
b. Sure, Dongtae could land repeated blows alternated with Time Pause to try to knock Hood out, but that would consume precious Dice points the might need later, and there would still be no guarantee it would work. There is also the possibility that Hood knows tactics against Time Pausers, like Taebin's (maintaining direct contact while fighting).
c. The only thing that would work 100% sure would be to go for the kill... which Dongtae isn't ready to do.
Ergo, escaping was the best option. For once, I applaud Dongtae's decision.
Ohhhhhh!!! First glimpse of X?

ReplyDeleteone question: The school is on other dimension or what?
I don't think so… it just looks like a barrier like the one Miju activated to prevent Sungchul from escaping in the Icarus Arc.
DeleteThe transition's really good for a 100 chapter. Although Eunju is still annoying as, why can't she just decide what she wanted to do with the die -.-
ReplyDeleteThanks again, guys for the great effort though.
She has decided already. It's around chapter 84. She will give it to a Dicer whom she can trust.
DeleteAaaa! Jin, I really hope you feel better sooooon! Thanks for the chapter >_<
ReplyDeleteI'm all good now! Unfortunately, I have to confess that I... I... I'm addicted to cough drops.
DeleteNOOOOOO!!!!!
DeleteNot the cough drops!
Why!
Please save yourself.
RUUUUN!!!!!
Oh dam...why don't he land a blow on the Hooded guy first! T_T
ReplyDelete(Thanks for the chapter~)
Everyone that touches time-pause user would be released from time-pause freeze.
DeleteSo nope.
Simple, release, TS again.
DeleteAssuming your direct blow on opponent is so weak that it deal no damage.
