DICE Ch. 80

Two consecutive updates?! I can't believe it's not butter a joke. All the credit goes to Splicer, he's the one who orchestrated it all). I tried uploading the chapter yesterday, but the images were coming out funky on my computer. Oh and also, this chapter was translated by OrangeTranslator. Enjoy~

    Isn't love supposed to be "forever"? What's the point of liking someone until you "grow out of them"? I understand that he's more emotionally mature now but at the same time I'm kinda disappointed that there's no permanency in these kinda feelings

      Yes and no. The human perception of love should be permanent. But in actual fact, everything is impermanent. A relationship is just burning the karmic contract between 2 person. It may last for a lifetime, it may not. That is the truth, whether we like it or not.

      I think what Dongtae means is that he didn't understand his feelings correctly and now he does.

      Of course, that is up to interpretation. It may just be that he has grown weary of Eunju's indifference to his attentions (which is his fault, as he has always done his best to hide his feelings; now he cannot complain she didn't notice) and wants to move on. That is compounded by the fact that he disagrees with her on the subject of Dice. In a sense he has chosen Dice over her. Make of it what you will.

      I like this development, it seems he is more mature and may have started to think things through. Early on I believed Dongtae should eventually conquer Eunju, but now I think he is better off with Mio. I'm not really a shipper, whatever contributes to the plot in that regard is fine with me, though. And not only do I think he is not worthy of Eunju, my main reason is simply that he and Mio are a better match: similar past histories, lack of tension between them, no Platonic component, Mio is simply a better complement to Dongtae. I like their interaction much more than Dongtae's constant unease around Eunju. So Dongtae and Eunju are better as friends.

      Personally, I think Eunju will end alone. That's just a gut feeling, no real reason why as of now.

      Not worthy of Eunju ? Why ?

      For now, she appears to me as way more superficial because of her interest in Taebin (but maybe I'm mistaking her reasons for loving this guy), contrary to Dongtae who seems to not only like her appeareance.

      I read your comment and imagined two sides playing chess.

      16 dicers on X's side, 8 being paws,
      and another 16 on the opponent side (another 8 paws).

      X is the King,
      Eunju is the Queen,
      Taebin is a Tower,
      Dongtae is a Knight
      ...
      And maybe Mooyoung is the opponent king, the other X in the game.
      A possible spoiler, maybe. :-)
