Back when I was in high school, I didn't realize the administration was keeping a close eye on my online activities =O . And also, are you a senior in high school? If so, then it should be obvious that Dice is the least of your priorities like so many have said before me. That being said, I appreciate whatever new chapters you're capable of pumping out for us all to enjoy! =) All the best.

Many great thanks for having post this chapter! Lets hope naver doesn't respond, otherwise it might be best to start on a new seed with even fewer ties to reality, buuuut! Seeing as you're not gaining any profit from this (except being able to read a translated version and gaining world-wide praise from fellow readers, not to mention being another supporter of the author) and you're giving the credits to the maker of the work in question, I don't see what's illegal about this, it's like volunteering work, if all you need is an "OK" from the author for it to be "legal", then try to get that "ok". We anons will root for you! Well, at the very least this anon who's I. Goooooooo, you!

Hey Jin. Do you expect for the other scanlators to over take you now?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see them try... no really, Jin and us aren't really in a competition or anything (well, only a little), Jin has always said he would gladly retire in case Lonemanga or someone else overtakes him. I second these thoughts.
DeleteBut unless they choose to skip chapters and start from where we last released (and nothing against if they did), overtaking Jin is a tall order: the nearest group, Lonemanga, is twelve chapters behind, and they don't have a typesetter right now. Silent Sky is 19 chapters and LINE is some 48 chapters behind us.
So it's win-win for us: if someone steps in, we go back to being readers and get everything effortlessly. If not, Jin will have his needed break to study and them we can resume when he has time and occasion.
Oh cool. Thanks for the response, Splicer. I thought I read somewhere that one of those other sites were 4 chapters behind, must have been drunk.

Well, the original Naver release in Korean has ads, so they get money from advertising space.
DeleteBut LINE webtoons in English are a mystery to me, because they have no ads. If I were to guess, it's just a pilot thing and there will be English ads in the future.

ReplyDeleteIdk what grade you're in, but I'm assuming 12th cuz you mentioned being valedictorian. Anyways, teachers just don't understand that us students can't keep up with more schoolwork on top of applying to colleges and taking standardized testing.
